Dufry Tax And Duty Free Chocolate Store, Terminal C

I bought an expensive bottle of Moet&Chandon Champagne prior to my flight on 3rd of January. I was told I would receive the bottle at the gate. Durring boarding United staff asked me to board the aircraft that there is no duty free package at the gate but if they deliver it someone will bring it to my seat. The aircraft door closed and I didn't receive my item. I was told by United Airlines staff that the item would be refunded, but it seems like a scam and I believe the duty free staff kept the items. There is nowhere to submit an enquiry or a complaint. I will file fraud charge with my bank. I believe I wasn't the only passenger on my flight that didn't receive their duty free purchase.

Bought a bottle was told pick up at gate which we did . When going through customs in canada they said duty free bottle was not packaged correctly and would need to be confiscated..

Bought a bottle of perfume as a gift. It was broken upon opening. No water damage on the box. It did not break during travel. Waste of $130.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, much of the liquor is significantly more expensive than any New Jersey liquor store. (ie Belvedere organic vodka 1.75L Duty free - $97.85, Home Wines liquor store - $53.29, both inc taxes).

I was unable to make a purchase because the employees were not willing to take it to the gate or let me carry it with me. Nonsense. I walked to the other store in the same terminal and had no issues whatsoever. So what gives? How can there be differences in the same chain of stores?
